That’s a wrap, Movember!
Earlier this month, many of our Avengers in Philadelphia and Santa Monica tossed out their razors and committed to growing their best mustaches, beards, and goatees—all for some lighthearted fun, and more importantly, a great cause. The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health. It was founded by two friends in 2003 who aspired to bring the moustache back ‘in style’; later to evolve into a public platform, with the goal of raising money for prostate cancer.
Today, Movember seeks to address and raise money for some of the biggest health issues men are facing every year: prostate cancer and testicular cancer, as well as mental health and suicide prevention.
The global movement is bringing much needed awareness to a harsh reality: Men are facing a health crisis that isn’t being talked about enough—they are dying too young, before their time.
At Inspire, we’re always looking for ways to support mission-aligned organizations—there’s nothing better than doing something fun for the greater good. And while we’ve had some laughs at our team’s creative and crazy ‘staches this past month, for us, it was more about pledging our support for such an important movement.
Our Inspire Avengers at Movember's mid-month mark
In just two years, we’re proud to have raised a total of $5,241 through our Movember participation. It’s a tradition and cause that we deeply believe in, and one that hits close to home for many. For more information on what you can do to support Movember, please visit its website.
We’re also actively hiring in both offices (who knows, you could be part of this competition next year!). Check out our open positions here.
